  • As the President of Jewish Municipality Mostar, he issued more than 200 confirmation receipts with which the citizens, whose lives were in danger because of their ethnic background, were able to go to Croatia and further, in other countries, saving themselves from persecutions, tortures and very often death.
  • As the President of Jewish Municipality Mostar he issued confirmation receipts to Bosniac families whose lives were in danger, out of which at least five families found a shelter in Israel.
  • Helping dozens of mixed marriages in the war by secretly taking one of the future spouses across to the other side of the Neretva in divided Mostar at the time so that he/she could meet and marry his prewar sweetheart.
  • In the periods of great hunger and shortage of medicines, he was bringing convoys of humanitarian aid to so-called east Mostar, which is why there was an attempt of his assassination, when explosive was put under his car in West Mostar in which he lived.
