AVP Seminar and Lecture on Civil Courage, December 21-23, 2009 |
  On December 21-23, 2009, Foundation Imam petlju Gariwo has organised another AVP seminar and lecture on civil courage on Bjelasnica mountain. The seminar and the lecture were attended by twenty six participants from the region: Slovenia, Monte-Negro, Macedonia, Croatia and other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the seminar, participants were introduced to non-violent ways of solving problems, non-violent communication and non-violent disobedience towards negative authorities. As part of the seminar, a lecture on civil courage was held where students of Cetinje High school introduced other seminar participants with their own example of civil courage when they held 42-day long non-violent demonstrations in response to the illegal election of the director of their school. After the lectures, participants will write essays on civil courage,
and the most active participants of the seminar will be invited to
attend “School of Civil Courage” which will be organised in March of
2010.
